Our newest invitation into our ongoing exploration of scent.

Scents by Sage™ Field Notes are limited, small-batch explorations offered in their pure, uncut form. Each Expression is composed of 100% fragrance oil concentrate, designed to be applied sparingly for a more nuanced, long-lasting experience.

Field Notes are intentionally exploratory. These early-stage creations are designed to be worn close to the skin—applying smoothly and evolving naturally with your body chemistry over time. Rather than presenting a finished statement, each Expression invites observation: how it shifts, settles, and reveals itself through lived experience.

Every Expression is curated, labeled, and packaged by hand to mark its place within our growing Scent Library. Guided by community feedback, some Field Notes remain limited studies, while others continue to develop—eventually transitioning into the Scents by Sage™ Signature Fragrance Oils collection.

Rooted in the same sensory universe as our incense and Signature Scents, Field Notes encourage curiosity, layering, and discovery—offering evolving interpretations of mood, memory, and sensory bliss.

Please note: Field Notes are produced in limited quantities and may never be recreated once an Expression study is closed.

How to Use

Roll onto pulse points such as wrists, neck, or behind the ears. Allow the fragrance to warm and unfold naturally on the skin. For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. Discontinue use if irritation occurs. Store away from direct sunlight to preserve integrity.

A cool, coastal breeze of citrus and florals melting into a smooth, tranquil amber base.

• SBS009 — Secret Garden
A fresh, dewy blend of crisp greens and fruits unfolding into soft florals and warm depth.

• SBS010 — Velvet Noir
A smooth, creamy richness layered with dark woods and a subtly sweet, musky finish.
